Slection of Symptomatic Points(对症选穴)

  The effects of some points are relatively specific. In clinic, a group of points can be selected for corresponding symptoms. The application of sole point is its finest portion.
 
  Selection of corresponding points: The meridian system is a crisscross network running up and down, connecting the exterior and the interior and the same named meridians are corresponding each other. When the location of disease is limited or acute pain appears, the corresponding points of related meridians of health side can be selected. For instance, Quchi(LI.11) in the right elbow is selected for the pain on the left arm. Yanglao(SI6) is selected for sprain of external malleolus, Daling(PC7) is selected for pain in heel.

  依据某些穴位对某些病症具有相对特异性的特点取穴。临床上某些病症可取相应的穴组，单穴的应用则是其最精华者。

  对应选穴：依据经脉的上下相通，表里相合，同经相应特点，在病位比较局限或急性疼痛时，可以取健侧的对应穴治疗，如左肘痛取右曲池穴，外踝下扭伤取养老，足跟痛取大陵等等。
